travel to england Will I be able to travel from england to spain with my slightly damaged passport?
My passport went through the wash, it really isn’t hurt terribly at all, nothing is smudged, it’s all valid and readable and Im travelling within the EU…

My Dad seems to reckon it’ll be fine, but im wondering what happens at the airport if its not fine? Will I still be able to travel with an alternate option?

Thanks alot.

It may be fine but I’d get it replaced. You don’t want to end up trapped behind some border and unable to get home.

Do not attempt it ….A friend tried to get over to Spain on his washed out passport . got in but couldnt get out .He had to get a new one and the spainish police were not amused

NO WAY TO NOT EVEN TRY

if it a british passport, there is 90% chance they will let you through. yep, i reckon. but to be on safeside, take any relevant documents with you like driving license, etc. to avoid chaos.

The passport is considered mutilated. You cannot and must not attempt to travel on a mutilated passport. The European authorities might not care that much, but the US authorities are liable to lock you up and place you through all kinds of unpleasantness.

Best advise: RENEW YOUR PASSPORT!!!

You may be fine, but you may not want to risk it. Depending on how much time you have, I would get it replaced, but if you have to leave relatively soon, then I wish you luck. Sometimes it depends on the person who checks your passport and what mood they’re in. You may not have any problems. Maybe the hurt isn’t that terrible, and like you said, everything is readable. I hope u get through!

If you have time to get it replaced then play safe and get it replaced. They are very very strict on these sort of things nowadays and i dont reckon you are going to have much luck with this one. As for an alternative option , there isn’t one . no passport no travel , its the same the world over . sorry
