travel to england What is the cheapest way to travel in England?
I’m thinking of flying ryanair into london stansted and then either take a bus or train to york, stay there for a few days and then travel to milton keynes and then back to london. Or I can just go from London to Milton Keynes return. I would prefer the first but it all depends on how much it would cost. I don’t mind taking the bus, train or metro.

It also seems that most of the cheap tickets are sold out, or is this just on the websites so you will buy the more expensive one?

Also does anyone know of any cheap accomodation in London or Milton Keynes???

Thanks!

try cheapflights.com

simple jet (www.easyjet.com)

buses (coaches) are usually cheaper than trains (try national express website). On British Rail, the fares vary immensely (as you have learned!) To get the cheapest ones, you usually have to book well in advance, not be travelling at peak times, and be able to pick up your ticket at one of their specified places. The cheapest accommodation anywhere in the UK would be youth hostels.

the bus is the cheapest way to go. If you are making a day trip somewhere are retuning on the same day, the trains can be very reasonable as well.

Why not try to glide closer to York. You can glide into one airport and out of another. bus is the cheaper way to get around.
