I am currrently visiting in England and wondering what is the best way to get around.

Should I rent a car or get some kind of rail pass. Let me know…

How about a moped?

take the bus, it can be very inexpensive if you buy the ticket well in advance. I got a bus ticket from London to Edinburgh and it was only 2 quid. it was a really long trip, so keep that in mind. check out these links. National Express can be quite excellent, but sometimes megabus is cheaper.

depends how far in advance you can book, but http://www.thetrainline.com
is the main place to buy train tickets or you can phone them. if you book in advance and can travel out side peak times it can be reasonable
i dont know how much car hire costs but also yes coach travel excellent national express

Depends where you want to go in the uk. City to city then National Express Coaches, rural areas more hard to access by bus.
