This is a excellent product, it’s well made and allows you to place a useful number of liquid-gel items into the bag securely since it uses a zipper rather than one of the “zip lock” seals that you’d use with an ordinary plastic bag. But, if you’re considering this buy for a trip abroad, you should beware. Two days ago as I was getting through security at Heathrow, the security people held me up for over 15 minutes while they lectured me on proper safety precautions, including the fact that they can’t accept one quart bags that have zippers rather than the “zip lock” seal. I’m inclined to reckon that this particular group of security people were just having a terrible day (and so, in turn, was I), but you should probably keep one of the disposable quart “zip lock” type bags handy in case you go somewhere besides the US.

There is nothing incorrect with this item, but you can get a kit with products at Wal Mart for a quarter of the cost. Don’t bother with this.

After struggling with zip quart bags from the grocery store, I chose to give this a try. Wow ! It’s large and roomy and extremely sturdy. I reckon eventually frequent travellers will give up on the cheap zip bags and invest in these type bags. They even stand up nicely in the bathrooms of hotels, etc.
Well worth the money. One less hassle for packing and at the Security Checkpoints.

“Pink Scissors insert design”! Insert is the operative word. It is a piece of useless cardboard that everyone would surely remove. So why bother to sell this product with different colored inserts. The bag itself is clear with black trim. The plastic is more rigid than in some competing products. I just used one of the bottles on a transatlantic flight. I had no confidence that it wouldn’t leak so I placed it inside a flimsy plastic bag before putting it in the flybag. It didn’t leak but the top doesn’t convincingly snap closed and I reckon it would be simple to end up with shampoo or other liquids all over the inside of the bag. I would not buy this product again.

The bag is excellent, but the labeling is a small misleading. The stitching color is the only difference in all of the bags and calling it a pink scissors insert is misleading.
