the case and mat are both pretty nice. i had to return the item because it bothered me that the case has three velcro attachments to the middle of the mat. i could’ve probably easily used a seam ripper to take off the velcro, but i thought i would rather continue looking for a case that i liked without any modifications. also, the mat was a soft cotton that curled at the corners a bit when it is fastened around the case.
if you’re not particularly finicky about these things, the case and mat will do a excellent job of protecting your counter and flat iron, and i do really like that there is a divider in the case that keeps the cord from getting melted by the hot iron.

When I first got this I thought it might be too bulky, but then I was like duh, it’s two seperate pieces that you can use together or seperate. I like the seperate compartments inside the case to keep the cord from getting fried by the iron. I also like the pad and the size of the pad. Sometimes we have two to four appliances on so this has greatly reduced the conern of laying them out on the counter and the worry about burning the counter. I likey…

My Fourteen year ancient primeary flat iron user in the house. I got her this one last year so that she would not leave the iron on a surface that might melt, mar or catch fire. I especially like that you can roll it in the mat and stuff it in the bag while it is still hot. She would never have the patience to place it away properly if she had to wait for it to cool down. I feel safer knowing she is using this product

This travel case was perfect for my hot iron. I was able to place the iron away while still hot. I also used the pad to rest the iron on while using it on my hair. I could not find anything like this in stores near me, so I was very pleased when my search led me to this item.

The flat iron case arrived very quickly and was just as described. BeBeautiful even unexpectedly included a thank you gift. I recommend the case for any one who is on-the-go since it allows you to place the flat iron away even when hot. It also makes a fantastic travel case.
