luggage Do you lock your luggage? Is it okay to lock my luggage after the inspection line?
Anyone know if locking your luggage is okay? This is for check-in and not carry on. I’ve had things missing before from my bags. So, I’m concerned but not sure if it is okay.

Airline is supposed to be able to get in your luggage at any time.

Carry on your valuables!!!!

Lock it, lock it, lock it did I mention lock it? The person sitting next to you may be a priest but the women in back of you may be a wanted felon and they’ll take anything that isn’t nailed down as will may airline employees.

you can buy a TSA approved lock for your bag…because they have Master Keys which can open tham all. This way ONLY TSA personnel can get into them..and NOT theft-minded airline baggage handlers. Well worth the $10 ..can buy at AAA centers and several other outlets.

It is probably best to leave your luggage unlocked. The airport security has the authority to search your luggage at any time. Once you are separated from the luggage, if they feel the need to open it, they will just break the locks anyway.

do not lock; you’ll only find security people will ruin your locking system. They need to be able to access your bags.

Carry anything valuable with you in your carry-on. Leave nothing in your checked bag that you would truly be heartbroken to lose.
